Neighborhood Living Meets Eclectic Lifestyle

NoDa is a lively eclectic neighborhood in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina. To match this neighborhoods distinct vibe, Yards At NoDa, a new apartment development in the neighborhood, wanted a look and feel that was representative of this older, revitalized area. In partnership with Greystar (Previously Riverstone Residential) and the property ownership, we worked to design and develop Yards's online web presence to attract and inform potential renters in the area before and after the property opened.

Defining the User Experience

In planning for the new website, the property ownership wanted to play up the uniquness of the area that is surrounded with large graffiti murals, eclectic shops and revitalized industrail warehouses. The design called for a blend of bright and muted colors, artistic graffiti embellishments and a fun mix of typography to enhance the vibe of the website. To push the uniqueness even further, the website was developed with a distinct single-page scrolling style that is both playful and engaging.

The website was also designed with the user in mind and included a fully responsive layout, interactive Google map and impactful large photography that focused on showcasing the lifestyle and surrounding area of the property.
